Woorimidan has successfully developed Korea’s first wellbeing fresh rice noodles that contain no wheat flour and yet taste better than wheat-based noodles.
Although wheat noodles are widely preferred and easily consumed by the public, they can pose threats to national health—such as indigestion, adult diseases, atopy, memory decline, and attention disorders. Due to a rigid market structure and eating habits formed from early childhood, it has been difficult to replace them with healthier alternatives.
In response, Woorimidan began with the idea: What if there were noodles made entirely from rice, with no wheat flour, that taste even better than wheat noodles? and developed a product that matched this vision.
Since its early days, the company has been supplying rice noodles to school lunch programs and continues to contribute to children’s healthy diets today.
